NLWB Core Values
God’s presence takes priority.
God is the head of the church and our individual lives; therefore we invite Him into our corporate gatherings, small groups, and every aspect of our personal lives. It is the presence of God that overwhelms hearts, changes lives, and empowers people. As we pursue the Lord through childlikeness, reverence, and humility in worship, prayer and the Word, we welcome an atmosphere of His presence.
Legacy of Christ imparted to the generations.
Our great inheritance is the kingdom of God and our great commission is to make disciples of all people. Therefore, we endeavor to leave an eternal legacy that will greatly impact both the current and emerging generation through spiritual parenting, intentional discipleship, and model Christ. (I Corinthians 11:1)
Obedience to the voice of God.
The voice of God is the basis and catalyst for transforming an individual’s life, a community, and a generation. God speaks to His children primarily through His Word, but also through dreams, visions, an inner witness, gifts of the Spirit, and the counsel of others. We, therefore, determine to live daily in Him and to encourage one another toward obedience and good works. (1 Samuel 15:22; Acts 9)
Relationship with God and others.
The love of God fuels our love for Him and one another, and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit enables us to be genuine people living transparent lives before God and man. Therefore, we are committed to be a community. (Matthew 22:37-39; I John 4:7-8) One of the ways we fulfill this value is through the NLWB Family Pact.
