Earl & Suzanne Webre, Elders
Earl and Suzanne were both born and raised in south Louisiana and have been married for thirty years. They have two daugthers, Lani and Lauren, a son-in-law, David, and a grandson, David Jr. Earl completed a two year degree in electronics from Southwest Louisiana Technical School and Suzanne has a degree in Sociology from the University of Louisiana. Professionally, Earl works as a Biomedical Equipment Technician at Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA, where he has been employed for twenty-two years. Suzanne recently stopped working full-time as a kindergarten teacher assistant for Chesapeake Public Schools to take care of their grandson, David. When she is not babysitting, she continues to substitute teach.
Both Earl and Suzanne were raised in the Catholic Church, and in the 1980's became involved in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. Suzanne received the Holy Spirit at a home prayer meeting and Earl was baptized in the Spirit at a Life in the Spirit Conference a few months later. They became part of a small group of four couples who prayed and supported each other with their walk in the Lord.
In 1989 they moved to Virginia and have served in church ministry for the past sixteen years. As members of Liberty New Testament Church (Portsmouth, VA), Earl served as deacon, a member of the finance and budget committee, and later as part of a pastoral search committee. Suzanne led the children's ministry, taught Kid's Church, and coordinated and served in the nursery. Then in 1998, they worked with Pastor Kevin Hinman to plant Harbour Church in Suffolk, VA. Earl was a board member and trustee. Suzanne again organized, taught, and served in the nursery and children's ministry.
They have been members of New Life Western Branch for ten years and currently serve on the leadership team. Suzanne has been serving faithfully in the children's ministry and nursery for nine years. Earl served as a member of the set-up team for nine years.
The Webre's desire to see God continue to move mightily in and through our church family at NLWB. They believe that with the current move of the Spirit, we will be empowered to go out into the neighborhoods and nations making disciples for Christ and ushering in the second coming of our Lord. God has promised that NLWB will be a house of healing and restoration and He will use us as we submit one to another for His purpose.
