Intercession
The New Life Western Branch Intercessory Prayer Team is a small group of seasoned, mature Christians from our congregation who have undertaken the ministry to be constant and instant in prayer on behalf of our church body and their extended relatives, friends and acquaintances.  Prayer needs are directed first to our Prayer Coordinator, Suzanne Dunlevy. She then disburses the requests to the members of the prayer team with any specific directions necessary.  Our mission is to pray a hedge of protection around our flock, as well as to pray for healing, provision, divine intervention, clarity, spiritual growth and a host of other needs relevant to our congregation.  Additionally, on an on-going basis, we pray in support of goals set by our pastor and in covering of various activities and programs at New Life Western Branch.

Soaking Prayer
Soaking is a term used to describe the “practice of expectantly waiting and resting in the Father’s love, rather than striving in prayer”.  Our heart is to see people ‘soaking’ in the presence of the Father.  Soaking is the time to develop a more intimate relationship with the Father.  In Psalm 27:4, King David’s heart cry was to “gaze upon the beauty of the Lord . . . and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple”.  If this is the cry of your heart, know your Father’s heart is longing even more passionately to be with you.  As people have come to soak they have felt His manifest presence, His peace and His love for them. We have had testimonies of hearts changed, hurts healed and some have even experienced physical healings. We should be so saturated with the Lord, that we carry the “dew of Heaven” on us wherever we go. Soaking Prayer is held every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. on the second floor of our church office building on Taylor Road.

Crafted Prayer
During seasons of prayer, we incorporate Crafted Prayer into our Wednesday night soak time. Written years ago by Graham Cooke, Crafted Prayer takes the approach to prayer by first spending time worshipping God and resting in His Presence. As we gather in unity to bring a matter before the Lord and enter into His Presence in worship, we believe He will give each of us insight and revelation on our request to form a crafted prayer. We see it as praying The Father's Heart. Intercessors are encouraged to participate, however, anyone is welcome to attend.

Transform Weekends
Transform Weekends are a time we set aside just to seek God for 26 hours straight. The 26 hours are broken down into time slots which are filled by those being led by God to lead out in passionate worship, intense intercession, and powerful soaking. These weekends begin at 10am on a Saturday and end at 12:00 noon the following Sunday morning. Transform is held at the church offices and transitions to the church on Sunday morning. These weekends are not just limited to 26 hours...plans are to also hold several 48-hour Transform Weekends.
