The church most visibly demonstrates the love of Christ by ministering and assisting those in need with compassion and care.  Our desire is to provide practical pastoral care to those in need – including home and hospital visitation as well as counseling.  The pastors work closely with ministry leaders, Life Group leaders, and other local and national Christian ministries to serve the diverse needs of individuals.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4.

Areas of care include:

Benevolence Ministry

In our church family, there are those facing financial hardships in their lives that make it difficult to make ends meet. When dealing with hardships, it can be difficult to plan for the future. The Benevolence Ministry seeks to support and encourage those in need by connecting them with resources both inside and outside of our church community. If you would like to schedule an appointment to receive Benevolence Care, please contact the church office at 757.966.5858

Pre-marital and Marital Counseling

Pastors encourage and provide pre-marital and marriage counseling for couples who desire to build healthy, lasting marriages.

Financial Counseling

Individuals or couples who are struggling financially, or those who are interested in developing a financial plan that would help them become a better steward and avoid hardship, can meet with financial mentor.  They will provide practical biblical perspective on issues related to finances and budgeting.

Prayer Ministry

This ministry is a combination of Prayer Teams, daily Prayer Covering, soaking prayer, and a weekly pastoral prayer list. The intercessory prayer team will pray for your request daily and prayer teams are available for special ministry times.  Prayer requests may be made on the Prayer Request page of this website or on the attendance flap of the bulletin.

Pastors work in partnership with Christian counseling ministries and licensed professionals to address the varied spiritual and emotional needs of individuals.  For additional information, contact the church t 757.966.5858, info@newlifewb.com, or by completing our online Information Request Form.
